Show Season

You could sense it at the recent Global Organic Produce Show (GOPEX) in Orlando. People were hungry, not just for the fantastic produce on display throughout the exhibit hall. People were hungry for live connections, face-to-face engagement, and a return to doing business in person with a community of colleagues and friends.

After two years of cancellations of some of the largest gatherings in our industry, this season is shaping up to be a very busy time. For Procurant, our dance card included the recent GOPEX event, where we had a small booth and participated in a panel discussion. We will also be presenting and exhibiting at the upcoming NGA Show in Las Vegas and hosting a demo station at the Southeast Produce Council's popular Southern Exposure event in March. We will also be attending the rescheduled FMI Midwinter Executive Conference and the Packer's West Coast Produce Expo, and that's before we even start talking about the newly named IFPA (formerly PMA) Foodservice Conference and the big Fresh Summit...er, Global Produce and Floral Show.

As this industry awakens from two unprecedented years of challenges, surprises and uncertainty, these events signal a hopeful return to business...maybe not as usual, but certainly as how we prefer.
